NEW ALBUM IN PROGRESS
Recorded mainly at home in the garage at night when the family were asleep, I have tracked 8 songs already with 2 more to go. I will then finally have an album of original material to share with the world.
I am super excited to be collaborating with Nick O'Donnell who is mixing and mastering and producing the album for me, adding extra instrumentation, drums and voices as needed, HEADWATERS will be an incredible collection of tunes and I can not wait to share them.
SOUNDS OF THE CITY
The Deon Powter Band have developed concept that aims to level out the playing bill to include all types of singer songwriters at ticketed events throughout the year, we had a brilliant show at It's Still A Secret earlier in the year and in November we will be hosting another Sounds of the City event, this time at the Method Collective in Brendale showcasing emerging singer songwriter Hannah Hooton, emerging band Disconformed, our band and Canyon a band made up of well seasoned musicians.
DEON POWTER SONG 'THE LIGHT" REACHES TOP 10 IN STATES
The Light was released earlier in the year as a teaser for the new album and was met with radio success acorss the country and overseas gaining a top 10 position in the US for independent releases. The Light is available on streaming platforms and here right now.
