After it was done, I noticed that I was writing more freely, with less judgement and displeasure at my attempts, and I really began to hook into the drafts with editing techniques.

Gabrielle did a fantastic job presenting various songwriting guidelines and possibilities that exist when you choose to use them - or not use them.

Bringing these guidelines into my thinking areas instead of feelings areas allowed for more creative possibilities, there are many more tools in the songwriting bag to keep me interested and now my song completion rate is much higher.

Because for me at least the driving factor to create is to be on the edge of the wave of my capability - holistically to communicate, but in a micro sense with the music elements and my musical performance skill level.

The Moreton Bay Regional Council does a fantastic job of engaging with creatives and finding opportunities for them to grow as artists and help them create performance opportunities.
